P4C (Philosophy for Children)

P4C (Philosophy for Children) is a vital part of Learning for Life at St Luke's.   In P4C children learn to raise their own questions and build on each other's ideas, thinking deeply about things that really matter to them.

Proud holders of the Sapere P4C Bronze Award, St Luke's secured support from the Dame Alice Owen Foundation to share this exciting approach with seven other Islington schools. We organised P4C training for teachers and teaching assistants, hosted visits to demonstrate how we think together, and arranged three annual Philosothon events for young philosophers from across the borough.
