Activity 1

Watch the video of Jack and the Beanstalk. What other stories do you know that have a beanstalk in them?

Next look at the pictures below and try to retell the story with an adult. Which is your favourite part of the story?

Activity 2

Make some stick puppets of the characters in the story. Draw the characters and then attach a stick (a lollipop stick, straw or even a pencil will do) to do bottom of each character. Or if you prefer you can use the characters below. Use your puppets to retell the story of Jack and the Beanstalk.

Activity 3

Think about the giant in Jack and the Beanstalk. Can you describe him to someone at home? Draw the picture of the giant and write a sentence about him or use the template below.

Activity 4

How do you think the giant felt when he found out that Jack stole from him? Please discuss this with an adult. Next learn this song and sign it to someone in your family.
