Activity 1

Go around your house and look for objects to compare. Today I would like you to compare a group of objects by thinking about which is the ‘tallest’, ‘longest’ or ‘shortest’.

Have a look at the photos I took of things I found around my house.

I remembered to use the word ‘tallest’, ‘longest’ and ‘shortest’ when I compared them.

You can compare words too!

  • Do you know a word longer than ‘elephant’?
  • Do you know a word shorter than ‘duck”?

Have a look at the words below and answer the questions.

Which word is the shortest?

Which word is the longest?

Which word is the tallest?

Escalator                       Duck                       Bug
