When you have finished your book, write a book review telling the teacher why he should read the book. Think about:

Why you liked it. What were the exciting parts? the sad parts? etc.

Activity 1

Read the Synopsis of Kick below:

Budi had a difficult decision to make, both options would lead to serious consequences. Do you think Budi should steal the boots for Dragon? 
 

• Write a paragraph explaining why he should, and a paragraph why he should not steal. Justify your reasons. For example- stealing is wrong, he could in get trouble at the factory, or Dragon would hurt his family if he did not steal. 

Activity 2  

Using this book as our inspiration, we are going to write a newspaper article about fair trade. Make sure you have read the pages from Monday on Budi’s working conditions at the factory. 

Also read these real life examples of working conditions for children around the world who work in factories that produce sporting goods.
