Activity 1
This week we will continue focusing on time.
Put the days of the week in order. You can cut the ones below or make your own ones. Point to today’s name. What day was yesterday? Talk about what happened yesterday. What day will tomorrow be? Talk about will happen tomorrow.
Next do the following activity:
Activity 2
Look at a calendar for the current month and find today’s date and day.
Ask your child: ‘What day was it yesterday? What did we do then?”
Next ask: “What day is it tomorrow? What are we going to do then?”
Ask your child what they might be doing at the weekend, and write these on the appropriate days. Write any other significant activities which happen on particular days.
Activity 3
Ask your child how many actions they can do whilst the sand runs through a minute timer. You can use an online one here:
Then ask them: “How many times they can write the first letter in their names, write numbers and see what number they can get to in a minute, how many bricks they include in a model built during the minute, how many words beginning with s they can say in a minute, how many times they can touch head, shoulders, knees then toes etc. They can think of their own activities that would like to do. Next do the below activity:
