Today, we are going to continue our work on symmetry. If you don’t have a small mirror that you can use, please get one from the school office.
Please work your way through the following PowerPoint slides to learn about how to complete a symmetrical picture.
After you have understood the PowerPoint, have a go at Activity 1a and b.

Please re-watch the PowerPoint from yesterday if you would like to recap ‘completing symmetrical shapes’. Then have a go at Activity 2a and b. You might also like to have a go at the Activity 2 challenge.

Now, have a go at Activity 3 – questions 1, 2 and 3.

Please have another look at the PowerPoint and help sheets from yesterday to remind yourself about the rules of tessellation.
After that, watch the following video to show how you put a tessellation together. You will be making your own tessellation designs in Activity 5 tomorrow.
Now, have a go at Activity 4a and b.
TOP TIP: In 4b, you could make stencils of the shape that you are tessellating – this will make it much easier. You could trace them and then cut them out.

Today is our last day looking at tessellation and we would like you to have a go at making your own tessellation art.
