Activity 1

You have a choice of two activities.

You can go online following the link below or you can play using objects in the house. The aim is to get familiar with 3D shapes, so for example say, ‘I spy with my little eye something in the shape of a SPHERE!’. Now, your child would look around the house looking for a ball, an orange, a marble or anything in that shape. Repeat as much as you like using all of these shapes:

Activity 2

Activity 3

Today we are using 2D shapes. Ask your child to find a rectangle or a circle to draw with their finger somewhere in the house. This could be the shape of the kitchen cupboard doors or the bottom of a mug (do not accept a ball or an apple as a circle to differentiate it from 3D shapes).

After that, play the game on line together.

Activity 4

Practise this song with your child using all the actions. It is great to count numbers down. Try bigger numbers than 1, 2 and 3. If you want to print it, download the document attached.
